Beer For Dessert!

Beer is great paired with appetizers and main courses, but why stop there?

Beer is a wonderful complement to desserts and chocolate is a great place to start. Counterbalance the sweet with the slight hop bitterness of our Heavy Seas Pale Ale.  Is it made with coffee? Match the flavor with our Peg Leg imperial stout with its deep roasted malt notes of coffee and chocolate.

If serving something created with bananas, try our Red Sky at Night. The flavors that our blend of Belgian yeasts creates will match up nicely.

No room for dessert? Serve a complex beer as an after dinner treat in small snifter glasses. We recommend our Below Decks barleywine, especially the latest release that has been aged in either bourbon or cabernet barrels.  Hang Ten, weizen Dopplebock is a fantastic summer beer and should be in a beer store near you the first week of July.

Desserts are also fun to make with beer.  Try these one of these recipes, they are easy to make and have been fully tested for flavor by our crew.
