Heavy Seas Letter Of Marque Homebrew Contest

THIS CONTEST HAS BEEN 'MAROONED' AND WILL NOT TAKE PLACE IN 2012.
Ahoy homebrewers! The Letter of Marque Competition is again on the horizon. Back in the pirate days a Letter of Marque granted by the government turned rogue pirates into respectable Privateers. Well almost respectable.
The Grand Prize Privateer will see their beer become part of the 2012 Heavy Seas Mutiny Fleet to be released in 22 oz. bottles. That lucky Privateer will also be welcome to come aboard and spend a day brewing their beer with our crew of brewers then be welcome to come back for bottling when it’s ready. How’s that for bragging rights!
Remember that we are looking for exciting and unique beers so there is no restriction on style. Keep in mind that to ride the Heavy Seas – the bigger and more assertive – the better off you are.
Details:
All submissions may be shipped to or dropped off to the brewery week days from 9:30 – 4pm Monday June 6th through Friday June 17th. Winner will be announced on July 1st.
Limit 2 brews per homebrewer.
Please provide 6 - 12oz bottles or 3 - 22oz bottles per submission
along with an entry form.
We are looking for exciting, unique and creative beers so the styles are open to anything, but keep in mind that in the Heavy Seas we like big, assertive and potent beers!
Just please, no wild yeasts or bacterial fermentations (Brettanomyces etc). We want to keep a clean ship! Extract recipes cannot be accepted.
